Scripture – “A faithful person will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished.”
Proverbs 28:20 NIV
Observation – God says that the person that is honest, hard working and puts others first will be richly blessed but the person whose focus and priority is getting rich will be punished.
Application – If you look at your work only as a means to accumulate wealth you will, by default, use people for your gain. If you love people, serve them well and do what is in their best interest you will earn a good reputation. People will want to do business with you and you will be richly blessed because of your faithfulness.
Prayer – Lord Jesus, you commanded us to seek first His kingdom and righteousness and all these other things will be given to us. Help us to remember that in every interaction today with people that you made and people that you love. Amen.
