Scripture – “But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving.”
Ephesians 5:3-4 NIV
Observation – Paul is saying, if you are a follower of Jesus Christ, there shouldn’t be even a hint of sexual immorality, or any kind of impurity, or greed or obscenity, or foolish talk or coarse joking among Christians because God has called us to be holy.
Application – If you are a Christian man and do this God is commanding you to stop. I know you think you are funny and your buddies think you are hilarious but God doesn’t, so you get to pick. Are you going to please God or your ego and your friends?
Prayer – Lord, if Christian men keep doing this we look just like the rest of the world. I pray you convict the hearts of men to stop this. Amen.
