Scripture – ““Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the people of Israel; so hear the word I speak and give them warning from me. When I say to a wicked person, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn them or speak out to dissuade them from their evil ways in order to save their life, that wicked person will die for their sin, and I will hold you accountable for their blood. But if you do warn the wicked person and they do not turn from their wickedness or from their evil ways, they will die for their sin; but you will have saved yourself.”

‭‭Ezekiel‬ ‭3‬:‭17‬-‭19‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – God told Ezekiel that his job was to warn wicked men that they would be held accountable for their actions and would die if they did not repent. If Ezekiel chose to ignore this command Ezekiel would be held responsible for their blood. If he did warn them he would not be held accountable.

Application – How do you feel when you read these words? Do you feel that God is speaking to you as well, making you a watchman for the people in your life? If so, ask God to give you a heart for the lost and courage to speak the truth.

Prayer – Lord God, thank you for saving us through your grace and mercy. I was saved 30 years ago on September 29th, 1996. I praise you for the watchmen you put in my life that warned a wicked man and dissuaded him for his evil ways so that he could be saved. Amen.
