Scripture – “For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever. Praise the LORD.”
Psalms 117:2 NIV
Observation – Psalm 117 is only two verses. The second verse states that God’s love for us is great and HIS faithfulness endures forever. Because of HIS love and HIS faithfulness we should praise him.
Application – Do you believe that God is faithful and that his love towards us is great or are you have a different experience? It is very difficult to praise the Lord when everything around you seems to be falling apart. This is the time to get closer to God, “When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do”. “The name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run to it and are safe.” When you feel like God isn’t present don’t give up, run towards him.
Prayer – God, help each of us not to look at a single snapshot in time but the entirety of what you have done and what you are doing so that we don’t lose hope when the foundations are being destroyed. Amen.
