Scripture – “This is what the Lord says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go. If only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a river, your well-being like the waves of the sea. Your descendants would have been like the sand, your children like its numberless grains; their name would never be blotted out nor destroyed from before me.””

Observation – God reminds Israel that he is their Redeemer and teaches them what is best for them and directs them in the way they should go. He tells them that if they would have obeyed his commands they would have experienced peace, a large family and a place in heaven.
Application – Obedience to God’s commands leads to God’s blessings. What blessings from God are you forfeiting in order to get what you think is best? It’s not too late, repent today and listen to your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God who loves you and knows what is best for you.
Prayer – Lord God, I pray that everyone out there that loves you begins living for you. Amen.
