Scripture – “Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.”
Psalms 130:7-8 NIV
Observation – The writer is instructing Israel to put their hope in the Lord, not themselves, because the Lord’s love never fails and he is capable and willing to redeem us from ALL our sins.
Application – Do the exact same thing, put your hope in God, not yourself, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:8-10. Trust that God is telling you the truth and walk about in freedom that you are right with God and he loves you.
Prayer – Lord Jesus, thank you for redeeming us from all our sins through your death and resurrection. You did this because of your unfailing love.
