Scripture – “In the LORD I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain.”
Psalms 11:1 NIV
Observation – David is proclaiming that God is his source of strength so that he doesn’t have to flee when trouble and danger are imminent. He can stand his ground knowing that God will take care of him and fight for him.
Application – The Bible tells us to take refuge in the Lord. If you are feeling fearful today trust that God is with you and he will sustain you. If you give into fear you won’t be able to see God work on your behalf.
Prayer – Lord, I pray for people that love you today and are experiencing fear. I pray that they would take refuge in you and not try to resolve this in their own strength. You are faithful and will rise up to take care of those who love you. Amen.
