Scripture – “Whoever pursues righteousness and love finds life, prosperity and honor.”
Proverbs 21:21 NIV
Observation – If a person prioritizes doing the right thing and caring for others they will enjoy their life, it will be full of blessings and they will be held in high esteem.
Application – What is on the top of your list to accomplish today? In Matthew 6:33 Jesus says, ““But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” When Jesus says “All these things” he is referring to food and clothes, the material aspect of our life. Jesus says that God knows we need these and will provide for us so that we don’t need to focus all of our attention on just taking care of ourselves. When we know that God loves us and will take care of us we are free to pursue righteousness and love.
Prayer – Dear God, thank you for taking care of us today. Give us hearts that love you, love doing what is right and love others. Amen.
