Scripture – “This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God.”

‭‭Genesis‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – Noah was a righteous man and he walked faithfully with God.

Application – Righteousness isn’t perfection, it is acting morally and ethically towards God and others. Noah wasn’t perfect but he acted justly, loved mercy and walked humbly with God. What would “walking” with God look like for you each day? A person that reads God’s word each day, prays each day and considers what would please God in every situation and then takes action with joy in their hearts is a person that would be walking with God. The follower of Jesus that reads God’s word from time to time, prays occasionally, invites God’s input into their decision making every once in a while and is only joyful when things go their way isn’t walking with God. This sporadic relationship may be a lack of discipline or it may be an indication that you aren’t fully committed.

Prayer – Lord God, what a privilege it is to be invited to walk with the creator of the universe each day. I pray for every follower that they would choose to walk beside you every day instead of going their own way. Amen.
