What are you spending you money on?

July 18th, 2026

Scripture – ““Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭55‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – God is reaching out and inviting everyone that is thirsty to come to him. He gives generously to all without money and without cost. God is asking us why we are spending money on what is not bread and why are we laboring for things that don’t satisfy.

Application – Are you fulfilled? Are you satisfied with your life? Are you living with peace or anxiety? Whatever your answer think deeply about why you responded the way you did. How are you spending your time? What are your goals and why are you chasing them and investing your time and money to achieve them? If you long for peace and meaning, come to Jesus and find out what it means to eat what is good and delight in the riches of fare. Jesus will do everything for you. Something incredible happens in the human heart when a person says to Jesus, “I’m interested in knowing what you have to say about how life should be lived”. He will show you the way and be with you the entire time.

Prayer – Lord, I pray for those that know you that they would invest this life for you and your kingdom. I pray for those you are pursuing, that they would turn and look to you to satisfy them and give them peace.
