Scripture – “Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven.”
James 5:14-15 NIV
Observation – The Bible says, when someone is sick, they should call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord and the prayer offered by faith will make the sick person well.
Application – Next time you are sick, do this, actually call the elders of the church and have them pray for you and anoint you with oil in the name of the Lord. God says this prayer offered in faith will make you well.
Prayer – Lord, forgive us when you give us a direct command like this and we come up with an alternate way of doing things. What else do we have to do besides obeying you? Amen.
