Scripture – “They were all trying to frighten us, thinking, “Their hands will get too weak for the work, and it will not be completed.” But I prayed, “Now strengthen my hands.””
Nehemiah 6:9 NIV
Observation – Nehemiah’s enemies were trying to intimidate him but he prayed and asked God to strengthen his hands.
Application – When you are afraid or weary do you try and encourage yourself or do you ask God to strengthen your hands? The creator of the universe loves you and gave his son to die for you. Call on his name and ask for his help. There is nothing to small or great that he cannot handle.
Prayer – Lord, help us to set aside our pride and self-sufficiency and come to you with everything, all day and all night. Amen.
