Scripture – “Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever. They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes. They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.”
Psalms 112:6-9 NIV
Observation – Righteous people, those who love God and trust him to take care of them, will never be shaken, when they hear bad news their hearts are steadfast trusting in the Lord.
Application – If you have accepted Jesus’ death on the cross for payment of your sins then you know that you have eternal life. If you believe the Bible is God’s word then you know that he will never leave you or forsake you. If you know you are going to heaven when you die and that God is with you on earth you will have no fear of bad news, your heart will be steadfast trusting in the Lord.
Prayer – Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus to die for us and thank you for sending people to tell us so we could know the truth and be set free by it. Free from worry and anxiety about the future. Amen.
