Scripture – “A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
Proverbs 22:1 NIV
Observation – Your name is more valuable than your net worth.
Application – When your name is brought up do you want people speaking highly of you or do you want them to say, “you have to watch out for that guy”? How is a good name attained? Be honest, never do anything wrong, be accountable, communicate well, don’t stare at women, be disciplined, control your emotions and put others first. If you seek to honor God in every situation and believe that he will always provide for, you will live with a strong sense of purpose and you will live without fear. When people speak of you will be esteemed.
Prayer – Lord, who we are is more important than what we have. Please remind us of this so we live with your glory in mind. Amen.
