Scripture – “You will be his witness to all people of what you have seen and heard.”
Acts 22:15 NIV
Observation – Jesus said this to Saul after Ananias placed hands on him so he could regain his sight. A few days earlier Saul was on a trip to go and arrest Christians. Jesus spoke to him, he fell to the ground and Jesus asked him why he was persecuting him and then Saul couldn’t see.
Application – If you are a Christian you have a testimony of what you have seen and heard. The Bible doesn’t call us to be an expert but tells us to be a witness to all people of our experience with Jesus and what he has done for us and how he has had mercy on us. We are not responsible to convert people to Christianity, that is God’s responsibility, he draws people to himself. We are responsible to tell others about our experience with Jesus.
Prayer – Jesus, thank you that we all have a testimony of what you have done for us. Let us not be embarrassed or ashamed of you but give us strength to tell others of how you pursued a relationship with us. Amen.
