Scripture – “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this:”
Psalms 37:3-5 NIV
Observation
God gives us a clear progression: trust Him, delight in Him, and commit our ways to Him. When our lives are ordered this way, He promises to give us the desires of our hearts.
Application
Have you honestly examined whether you are trusting God with your life—or trying to remain in control? It is worth setting aside intentional time with the Lord and asking Him where He wants you to grow in trust.
Can you clearly articulate the desires of your heart? If so, bring them before God and commit them to Him, trusting that He will take care of you. If you cannot, pray and ask God to shape your desires according to His will, then faithfully get to work walking in the path He sets before you.
Prayer
Thank you, Jesus, that we are not alone. Thank you that You desire for us to live good lives and rest in safe pastures. Help us to trust You fully. Amen.
