Scripture – “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭30‬:‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – God gets angry with us but it only last a moment if we say we are sorry. Once we are reconciled to him his favor lasts a lifetime.

Application – God is love and his deep love for us, and others, requires that we honor him, love and serve others and treat ourselves with respect and care. When we violate any of these relationships through not obeying him he is upset with us. His anger results in discipline and hopefully we learn and repent so that our relationship is restored. Living under God’s favor leads to rejoicing in this life. Living in rebellion against God causes him to be angry with us and results in many nights that are filled with tears.

Prayer – Lord Jesus, I pray that people would acknowledge their sin and repent so they can experience your favor and live with joy. Amen.
