Scripture – “The sluggard buries his hand in the dish, he will not even bring it back to his mouth.”
Observation – Lazy people start something and don’t finish it. God compares this to a person who reaches to pick up a piece of food and is too lazy to lift it up to his mouth.
Application – Is this you? Do you start projects and leave them unfinished? Do you buy tools, books, technology or exercise equipment with the intention of doing something meaningful only to find that your energy and enthusiasm is short lived. If you love yourself choose one thing right now that MUST be done and commit to it. Schedule a specific time for it each day and don’t quit. God will reward your perseverance!
Prayer – Lord Jesus, you didn’t put us on this earth to begin and not finish. You made us conquerers, give us strength and focus to do great things for you.
