Scripture “One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.”
Proverbs 18:9 NIV
Observation – God says if you are lazy you are contributing to the destruction of those around you.
Application – If you have been hired to do a job and are being compensated for doing it and you decide that you aren’t going to try and put forth your best effort you are destroying someone else. Think about hiring a mechanic to fix your car and he decides that he has been working hard all week and is going to take it easy that day. Your car won’t work properly, putting you, your family and those around you in danger. Do your best and don’t be a brother to one who destroys.
Prayer – Lord, give us a heart to serve you and others and to work with all of our hearts with excellence.
