Scripture – “Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips. So that your trust may be in the Lord, I teach you today, even you.”

Observation – God is happy when we memorize scripture because it helps us trust in him.
Application – What is the loudest voice in your mind each day? Is Satan using your inner critic to keep you living in fear and anxiety all day. Is social media dominating your mind with thoughts of comparison and envy? Have the people you have surrounded yourself with convinced you that you don’t measure up? God is perfect and he is always right. When we memorize verses and apply our hearts to what he teaches we become confident in the Lord knowing that he will command his angels concerning us to guard us in all of our ways. He loves us and has a plan for our lives. If we don’t know what he says we can’t trust him and live under his care.
Prayer – Lord, I pray for your followers that they would value your word more than their “free time” and invest in keeping your word in their hearts and having all of them ready on their lips so that they can trust in you.
