Observation – If you are in the habit of making decisions on your own without asking wise people their opinions you will fail.
Application – Wise counselors may tell you something you don’t want to hear but it will most likely be something that you need to hear. Most of my poor decisions are due to being in a hurry, being emotional or not wanting someone to challenge my ideas. All three are stupid.
Prayer – Dear Lord, help all of us to think of our future selves and how grateful we will be to our present selves for seeking wise counsel. Amen.
