Scripture – “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.”
Revelation 3:19 NIV
Observation – Jesus rebukes and disciplines those he loves. When correction and discipline come your way repent with all seriousness and intention.
Application – Correction and discipline is painful and often costly. During times like this we need to trust God and be reminded that wisdom and knowledge from God is worth the pain we endure when we realize we needed to be rebuked.
Prayer – Lord Jesus, I pray that all of us would obey so we don’t need to be rebuked and disciplined. When we do receive your correction I pray we would accept it from a God who loves us too much to let us go our own way. Amen.
