Scripture – ““He was made king, however, and returned home. Then he sent for the servants to whom he had given the money, in order to find out what they had gained with it. “The first one came and said, ‘Sir, your mina has earned ten more.’ “ ‘Well done, my good servant!’ his master replied. ‘Because you have been trustworthy in a very small matter, take charge of ten cities.’”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭19‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – A man went away on a journey, before he left he gave his servants money to invest while he was gone. When he came back he asked them to give an accounting of how they used the resources they had been given.

Application – God has given us money, possessions, time and abilities. He expects us to use all of these to expand his kingdom. How are you doing? Do you consider these four gifts from God “yours” or do you believe that you are a manager that will give an accounting?

Prayer – Dear Jesus, I pray for all of us who follow you, that we would view money, possessions, time and abilities as gifts from you to be used to bless others and glorify you. Amen.
