Scripture – “If anyone, then, knows the good they ought to do and doesn’t do it, it is sin for them.”
James 4:17 NIV
Observation – If you know you should do something that will help someone else but decide you are going to do it that is a sin.The Bible says that God has prepared good works in advance for us to do. If out of laziness, bitterness, complacency or anger we don’t do these good works we have sinned.
Application – God has given each of us 168 hours a week and the great responsibility to choose how we will use this time. Think carefully about how you invest your time and if you know God has called you to do something do it and watch how he works in it.
Prayer – Lord, help us to use the short amount of time you have given us on this planet to glorify you by doing the good you have planned for us. Amen.
