Scripture – “Wealth is worthless in the day of wrath, but righteousness delivers from death.”
Proverbs 11:4 NIV
Observation – God is focused and concerned about our character and our relationship with him. Wealth will be worthless on judgment day.
Application – How much time do you spend thinking about finances and your financial future versus how you are treating God and others? The Bible says we brought nothing into this world and we’ll take nothing out of it. The wealth we have on earth will become worthless in the day of wrath. Think about that. All of Warren Buffett’s earthly wealth will be worth zero when he stands before God to give an account of his life.
Prayer – Lord, turn our gaze towards you and lasting treasure that delivers from death. Amen.
