Scripture – “The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.”
Psalms 25:14 NIV
Observation – God reveals himself in an intimate way to those who fear him. Proverbs 1:23 says, “If you had responded to my rebuke I would have poured out my heart to you and made my thoughts known to you.”
Application – What does it mean to fear God so that he will confide in you and make his covenant known to you. We learn from Proverbs 1:23 that it means we repent and respond to his rebuke. We believe that God has both the power to forgive those who trust him and punish those who disregard him and feel like they don’t need him in their lives. Are you hearing from God? Are you experiencing intimacy with him? If not meditate on these verses.
Prayer – Lord, what an incredible offer you make to people, that the creator of the universe will actually confide in us. Thank you for that gift.
