Scripture – “In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – David knows that God is listening to his prayers so David tells God his wants and needs and waits expectantly for God to respond.

Application – Is this your daily practice? Do you truly believe that God is listening to you? Are you so confident that God will answer you that you wait expectantly. This is the type of faith the author of Hebrews is writing about in Hebrews 11:1 “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” If your daily practice is to pray and wait expectantly, keep it up! If if isn’t, if you find yourself crossing your fingers and holding your breath when you pray then exercise your faith and lay your requests before God and wait expectantly, God is faithful and will answer you.

Prayer – Lord, I pray for my brothers and sisters who have ceased to lay their requests before you because they don’t believe you are listening. I pray they would come to you and that you would answer them and make their joy complete. Amen.
