Scripture – “No harm overtakes the righteous, but the wicked have their fill of trouble.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12‬:‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – People that live a righteous life are free from the trouble that wicked people experience. No one is one hundred percent immune to bad things happening in their life but righteous people have less problems than wicked people because righteous people are living under the protection and direction of Jesus and wicked people are guided by their own wisdom and driven by self-interest.

Application – Where is your trouble coming from? Take some time and go to a quiet place and write down all of your problems and trace their source. Have the thorns in your side been born from fear, laziness, greed, disobedience, selfishness or pride. If they have, go to Jesus and repent and take action to correct these sins. If your trouble is from circumstances beyond your control ask Jesus to deal with the trouble and be strong in your faith as you wait for him to act on your behalf.

Prayer – Lord, I thank you that no harm overtakes the righteous, we may experience trouble but we are not overwhelmed by it. I pray for the wicked to put their trust in you and repent. Amen.
