What are you doing? Do it better

“With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith. We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Observation – Just like every graduate isn’t ready to be the CEO of a company we, as believers, require training and time with God so that he can make us worthy of his calling. 

Application – There are lots of ways that God makes us worthy of our calling, he does this through the body of Christ, reading the word, memorizing scripture, prayer, service, confession and putting us in situations that require us to rely on him on not only ourselves. If you don’t feel like God is making your calling known to you spend more time in the areas above. 

Prayer – Lord I thank you that we do have a calling, that we aren’t spectators, that we can take action in accordance with our faith. Amen.
