Scripture – “Be sure of this: The wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free. The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the hope of the wicked only in wrath.”
Proverbs 11:21, 23 NIV
Observation – People that are wicked will be punished and all they hope for will end in wrath but God will reward the righteous.
Application – Be honest with yourself and conduct an objective audit of your life. Are you living a righteous life or a wicked life? How many bad things or wrong things do you have to do to be considered wicked? If you tell a few lies, gossip a little bit or cheat on your taxes a little are you still righteous?
Prayer – Lord, I pray you open the eyes of those who consider themselves righteous so they can clearly see their sin and I pray they would repent and come to you for forgiveness.
