Scripture – “What shall I return to the Lord for all his goodness to me?”
Psalms 116:12 NIV
Observation – What are you going to do for God in return for all the good things he had done for you?
Application – Some of you reading this may say to yourself, “my life isn’t very good, God hasn’t done that much for me”. If this is you I’m sorry you feel this way and encourage you to make a list of your blessing. The fact that you can see to read this and have a mind to understand it is a good place to start. If you can walk, have one person in your life that loves you, can eat food and your body works well enough to convert it to energy you are blessed. If you can turn a faucet on in your house and have water to drink, your thumbs work so you can button a shirt, have a job, a skill, if you know the Lord Jesus you are blessed. Gratitude is critical for joy. If there are things in your life that are terrible and within your control, fix them. If they are out of your control pray and ask God to fix them.
Prayer – Jesus, I thank you for all the good things you have done for me, let me know what I can do for you to repay you for all the good you have done for me. Amen.
