Scripture – “Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, my soul, and forget not all his benefits— who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭103‬:‭1‬-‭5‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – We should praise the Lord because he has forgiven or sins, he heals our diseases, he redeems our lives from the pit, he shows us love and compassion, he gives us good gifts and restores our youth.

Application – Most days, because we are still in our earthly bodies, we focus our praise of God on having our diseases healed, our desires satisfied and our bodies feeling good. These are wonderful gifts from God but he tells us also not to forget that he has forgiven our sins and redeemed us from the pit. We should praise him for this life and the life to come.

Prayer – Dear Jesus, thank you for all or your benefits. Thank you for taking care of us while we are on earth and taking care of us in eternity. Amen.
