Scripture – “A mocker resent correction, he will not consult the wise.”

‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Observation – A mocker or a fool hates to be corrected so they avoid wise people.

Application – You know when you are speaking to a fool because they value their pride more than they value truth. Their response to honest good questions is to roll their eyes, personally attack you and boast about their insight and knowledge. You can determine if you are speaking to a fool or wise person by how they react to information that challenges their beliefs. Sometimes God wants you to correct this person and other times God will tell you to keep knowledge to yourself. A mocker will always consider himself the smartest person in the room or will avoid being around wise people so, in his mind, he is always the smartest person in the room.

Prayer – Lord Jesus, give me wisdom to know what to say and what not to say to a mocker. Amen.
