Scripture – Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37‬:‭8‬ ‭NIV‬‬

O – Keep yourself from getting angry and acting on your anger, trust God and don’t worry, all worrying does is take you down an evil path. On the evil path you will encounter deep fear, hopelessness and doubts about God’s goodness and provision. While fear, doubt and hopelessness keep you occupied you will neglect the very things God wants you to do that bring you peace, confidence and hope (there is only so much time in the day, if you spend it worrying there is not time for action, growing and learning.

A – Be aware of your feelings and what you do with them. It is fine to acknowledge them and even speak to them (remember the podcast you listened to where the person said to their fear, «I appreciate you are trying to protect me but I don’t need you right now, thank you » Confess your sin to God and then work the plan that God has laid out before you. God’s plan is to obey him and his process. The focus is obedience in action not fretting in the mind that leads to more fretting and nothing being accomplished.

P – Dear Jesus, my goal is to have an impact on your kingdom. This will be accomplished by remaining in you and obeying you instead of listening to me. Dear Jesus, help me to immediately confess reliance on myself and rely fully on you and your plan which is to replace fretting with obedient action. Amen.
