Observation – Foolish people don’t care about other’s experiences, points of view or feelings. They think they are the smartest person in the room and believe that when they are speaking those listening are marveling at their wisdom. In reality everyone is in awe of their lack of self-awareness and arrogance.
Application – One of the greatest ways to show a person that you care about them and value them is to fully listen to what they have to say and ask good questions so that you fully understand where they are coming from and what is important to them. When you are speaking with someone don’t be in a hurry to advance to the next step, make sure that you understand what they want and need so you can help them.
Prayer -Jesus, help me to be patient and listen carefully so that you are honored and peopled are loved and valued. Amen
