Scripture – “I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
Psalms 16:8 NIV
Observation – The psalmist is saying that God’s way is the best way. When his eyes are on the Lord and he is walking with God he will not be shaken.
Application – Think about the times in your life you are shaken. Thankfully it doesn’t happen that often but when it does it is unsettling because you feel that things are collapsing around you and the life you thought you had is being threatened. Keep your eyes ALWAYS on the Lord and stay close to him so that he is at your right hand. Then your confidence will be in him, the maker of heaven and earth and not on your strength, external circumstances or people.
Prayer – Dear Jesus, continually draw me close so that my eyes are always on you and your strength. When I am prone to be shaken remind me of your unfailing love. Amen.
